Pop-up camp locations in Monster Hunter Wilds

Pop-up camp locations in Monster Hunter Wilds

Camps are a integral part of Monster Hunter Wilds. In Wilds, you’ll visit camps in each of the game’s unique locales, and won’t really have a big city hub to return to after hunts. But you won’t just rely on these base camps, you’ll also need to find and establish pop-up camps around the area, some of which can be destroyed by monsters if you’re not careful.

In this in-progress Monster Hunter Wilds guide, we’ll walk you through how to set up camps, and show you maps of all the camps we’ve found so far in the first two environments.

How to find and establish new camps in Monster Hunter Wilds

As you explore each new area in Monster Hunter Wilds, you’ll come across secluded and not-so-secluded areas where you can put down a campsite. Once you’ve discovered a potential campsite, you’ll be able to talk to a Palico in that area’s base camp to build a pop-up tent there, which you’ll be able to use to as a fast-travel point, to replenish your loadout, or to respawn at if you faint.

You won’t be able to have every camp site active in each area and will need to choose, with some being more dangerous — as in monsters can break them, causing them to be temporarily disabled — than others. You can unlock additional slots by progressing through the main story.

There are five main regions in Monster Hunter Wilds where you can build pop-up camps: Windward Plains, Scarlet Forest, Iceshard Clifs, Oilwell Basin, and Ruins of Wyveria. Below, you’ll find maps for Windward Plains and Scarlet forest. Check back later for the remaining three areas!
